May 1918) faced a survival crisis, dealing with the aftermath of the 1915 Genocide, devastating famine, and intense border conflicts with neighbors. While pursuing international recognition at the Paris Peace Conference, Armenia battled for control over disputed territories like Nakhichevan, Karabakh, and Zangezur against Azerbaijan, and fought a brief war with Georgia
