Abstract

The Armenians of Artsakh and its famous center Shushi has always been and will continue to be the center of attention of Armenian and foreign Armenian scholars. From that point of view, the article made a scientific reference to the coverage of a number of important issues of contemporary im-portance: the statistics of Armenians who have permanently lived in Shushi and in Armenian Artsakh in general, the Armenian cultural heritage created in Artsakh for centuries as an integral part of Arme-nian national culture, the fate of the libraries and books endangered by the wars that took place in re-cent decades. For this purpose, a comparative analysis of the used sources was performed, the results of which have historical, bibliographic, librarian and educational significance.
