    Thus, the article presents a comprehensive overview of information on the non-book publications of the National Library of Armenia (NLA), including their processing, availability, and the types of non-book materials preserved, as well as electronic resources, both computer and non-computer files. The most important and mandatory fields for non-book publications in the MARC format are also presented. In conclusion, it can be observed that the entry of non-book publications in electronic format presents challenges for a number of libraries. However, article demonstrates the capabilities of the MARC format for non-book publications, detailing the relevant fields and record types.

    The object of socio-psychological environment management is a working team. The issues of psychological bases of team management of libraries not well-explored in professional literature in Armenia in the 21st century. By means of experimental methods, the article presents and generalises the peculiarities of the socio-psychological environment of the library. It comprehensively examines the factors influencing the environment and highlights the importance of its formation and management. The goal is to create a comfortable and effective working environment.

    Ժողովրդական երդումների իմաստային տիպերը

    The oath, like other genres of oath-related folklore (curse, blessing, wishing), has been used for magical purposes since ancient times. We distinguish between two main groups of oaths: oath with a curse and oath with a reference to testimony. The main thematic groups of oaths with curses reflect various types of punishment, ranging from dying in the most brutal ways, suffering from various physical and mental illnesses, to social and religious-moral consequences. In the main categories of oaths with a reference to testimony beliefs and veneration of the Christian religion, God, and saints, as well as the material objects and items related to the church, are reflected on one hand, and ancient folk beliefs and mythical concepts emerge on the other, which, naturally, arise from the veneration of the particular phenomenon or object in question.

    In the article, an attempt is made to cover the testimonies about Artsakh-Karabakh in the newsletters titled “Reports of the Archaeological Commission of the Imperial Government”, one of the many valuable sources preserved in the National Library of Armenia. The retrieval and publication of existing archival materials on the lost territories is very important for the reconstruction of the national identity of Artsakh and all Armenians, which were subjected to violent depopulation. Therefore, the works carried out in the territory of Artsakh as a result of the activities of the Archaeological Commission of the Imperial Government are referred to in a unique way and their achievements for the preservation of historical and cultural monuments, national and social values of the region are appreciated. An attempt was made to rewrite in the form of the original the testimonies of the archaeological research carried out in Artsakh in the 19th century, which are of primary importance.

    Հայ թարգմանական գրականության մատենագիտություն. մեթոդական հայեցակետ

    The article focuses on foreign-language translated books published in Armenia in 1920-2020. The latter were combined and published as a three-volume bibliographic collection: volume A (1920-1970), volume B (1971-2010), volume C (2011-2020). The bibliographic collection was compiled mainly on basis of the book collection of the National Book Chamber of Armenia. After the merger the Book Chamber with the National Library of Armenia in 2017 the collection of library and other sources were used as well. In accordance with the standards, the bibliographic description compilation has been observed, and appropriate abbreviations and acronyms have been used and organized by UDC.

    Հոդվածում ներկայացվում է Սուրբեր Կյուրեղի և Մեթոդիոսի անվան Բուլղարիայի ազգային գրադարանում պահվող ձեռագրերի հավաքածուի ամենավաղ թվագրված գրքի՝ 966 թվականի հայկական քառավետարանների համառոտ նկարագրությունը։ Ձեռագիրը հանդիսանում է արժեքավոր ժառանգություն բուլղարական և հայկական մշակութային պատմության համար։ Համառոտ անդրադարձ է կատարվում Ասենովգրադի շրջանի Բաչկովո գյուղի մոտ գտնվող Վերափոխման վանքի պատմությունը, որտեղ հայկական քառավետարանը բերվել է հավանաբար 14-րդ դարի երկրորդ կեսին, կամ, ըստ մեկ այլ վարկածի, 17-18 դդ.։ Ներկայացված են նաև Բուլղարիայի հայ համայնքի շահերը վկայող փաստաթղթեր, որոնք հայտնաբերվել են Բուլղարիայի ազգային գրադարանի հավաքածուի ձեռագրերի ցուցակագրումից հետո:

    The Printing Museum of the National Library of Armenia plays a special role from the point of view of bibliography and promotion of more than 510-year history of the Armenian book. The issue of promotion of Armenian cultural heritage in international platforms is among the strategic initiatives of the museums. One of the tasks of the Printing Museum is to raise awareness of Armenian books and printing through the international platforms worldwide, in particular Google Arts and Culture, the Association of European Museums of Printing (AEPM) and Izi Travel.

    Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Ինքնավար Մարզի մշակույթի պատմության վերաիմաստավորումը Արցախի պաշտպանության բանակի ազատագրական առաքելության համատեքստում

    Resisting the aggression of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and pursuing the enemy fleeing from the battlefield, the Artsakh Self-Defence Forces in 1991-1994 liberated the territories of the historical Syunik, Artsakh and Utik provinces, which had been illegally annexed to Soviet Azerbaijan. The latter, continuing the Turkish policy of Armenocide in Transcaucasia, depatriated the autochthonous Armenian population by criminal methods of massacres, ethnic cleansing and forced religious conversion, mercilessly destroyed or usurped in the occupied settlements the centuries-old heritage of Armenian culture, which for centuries had served to preserve the national identity of the autochthonous Armenian population of Artsakh. The purpose of reinterpreting the cultural heritage of the Soviet period is to emphasise the urgency of liberating historical Artsakh based on Armenia's defence, security and military-political priorities and the need for the immediate return of the Armenian population in one of the most important territories of Armenian culture.

    Իրանահայ տպագրությունն ու մամուլը` որպես ազգային ժառանգության պահպանման կտակարարներ

    The study of the Iranian-Armenian printing and periodicals is important for the completion of Armenian studies and the total unfolding of Armenians’ potential. Throughout many centuries living outside their homeland, Iranian Armenians were the bearers and enrichers of the Armenian language, culture and rich traditions. Based on valuable sources, periodical coverage and public research, the study presents the birth and emergence of the Iranian-Armenian press in an unbiased, comprehensive and inclusive manner, and portrays the role and significance of the Iranian-Armenian periodicals in cultural heritage promotion. This article covers the role of the Iranian-Armenian printing and periodicals from 1638 to the present.

    The purpose of present article is to introduce the programme of internship of students from different academic institutions. Interns of Valery Brusov State University, Vardges Amazaspian State College of Echmiadzin, Armenian-Greek State College of Tourism, Service and Food Industry of Yerevan completed an internship at the National Library of Armenia. From the point of view of practice, the following issues are also important: strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and National Library of Armenia, continuity of the theory-knowledge-practical application chain, consideration of theoretical, practical, methodological foundations of education-library relations, assessment, etc. The trainees got acquainted with the mission of the National Library of Armenia, the work of various departments and other related issues. They did their own assignments. We hope that the cooperation between the National Library of Armenia and academic institutions will be continuous.

    This article examines the libraries and reading rooms in Armenian prisons, focusing on the impact of reading on inmates’ lives. It addresses issues such as library regulations, catalog compilation, book maintenance, librarian duties, and book replenishment, while exploring methods to promote reading among prisoners. The study concludes that assessing the practical benefits of reading for inmates is difficult due to a lack of incentives, supportive conditions, and programs that encourage a reading culture within the prison system.

    «Արձագանգ» ամսաթերթի մասին

    From 1672 to 1976 in Toronto the AYF “Simon Zavarian” chapter published the “Ardzagank” (Echo) monthly newspaper. The 58 issues were presented in 48 volumes: 8 volumes had two issues and one had 3 issues. Many exceptional articles were published in this monthly, which can still interest not only the readers but also the specialists dealing with issues of the Armenian Diaspora and the press. The rich material presented in this monthly is the diary of five years of the lives of Armenians in Toronto. Many names were immortalized on the pages of “Ardzagang.” Due to their efforts and devotion the publication of the newspaper was realized without paid subscription and sizable financial means. The literary pieces were chosen meticulously from Mesrop Mashtots to Paruyr Sevak, materials representing prominent figures of the world culture and Diaspora, book reviews, interpretations of interesting aspects of local and Armenian life. All issues of the monthly newspaper are notable for their rich content.

    Գրիգոր Սկևռացու աղոթքները

    Grigor Archimandrite Skevratsi, a follower of the famous clergyman and theologian Nerses of Lambron, was one of the outstanding public, political and cultural figures of medieval Armenia, who in his literary, cultural, religious, social and pedagogical activities was a worthy disciple of his teacher and carried on the traditions establishedby him. Grigor Skevratsi is a multi-genre author. He wrote in practically every genre of spiritual literature and left a legacy of odes and Church Hymns (sharakan), orations and sermons, exhortations and prayers, interpretations and translations. The current paper presents the prayers of Grigor Skevatsi. His theory of prayer is directly derived from the teaching of the school of Narek Monastery which is evidence of a continuity of tradition. Grigor Skevratsi expressed his views on prayer as the highest moment of spiritual life in a number of works, in the theologicalpoem “Instruction on the true Faith and the Virtuous and Pure Life” (“Khrat” (exhortation) «Բան խրատու վասն ուղիղ հաւատոյ և մաքուր վարուց առաքի-նութեան» («Խրատ»)), sermons, several small and large prayers. Skevratsi's prayers testify to his deep faith and high spiritual level.

    The article examines the Armenian press published by the Armenian diaspora in Iran. Due to various historical factors, Armenians have settled in different countries worldwide, forming diaspora communities. The Armenian community in Iran constitutes a significant part of this diaspora and is recognized as an important center for Armenian printing outside the homeland. According to relevant encyclopedic sources, over eighty Armenian periodicals are currently published in Iran. The Armenian press in Iran is regarded as an integral component of the printed heritage of the Armenian diaspora.

    Библиотечный диалог стран СНГ как площадка для Международного профессионального обмена

    The article describes the implementation of a professional development program for young librarians from the CIS countries, which was implemented with the support of the MFGS in 2023 by the M.I. Rudomino All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature (Moscow) and the V. Mayakovsky Central City Library (St. Petersburg). The topics and brief content of professional events as part of the program are listed. Its results and significance for the formation and strengthening of the professional community of libraries in the CIS are presented.

    Phygitalization of library services: opportunities and challenges

    Ներկայացված է գրադարանային պրակտիկայում թվային փոխակերպման գործիքների ակնարկ: Համառոտ կներկայացվեն. 1) թվային փոխակերպում հասկացությունը, 2) գրադարանային ոլորտի հետազոտություններում թվային հումանիտար գիտությունների փորձը, 3) տեղեկատվական հիմնական ծառայությունները՝ որպես գրադարանների թվային փոխակերպման գործիքներ, ա) վիրտուալ մատենագիտական օժանդակ գործիքներ, բ) տեքստերի ինտելեկտուալ վերլուծության համակարգեր, գ) ընտրովի տեղեկատվության տարածման ծառայություններ, 4) ներկայացվելու է վերոնշյալ տեղեկատվական ծառայությունների տեսակների համեմատական վերլուծություն՝ ըստ մի շարք չափանիշների, 5) ներկայացվում են գրադարաններում թվային փոխակերպման որոշ հաջողություններ, 6) սահմանված են այս միտումի զարգացման խնդիրները, 7) թվարկված են Ռուսաստանի գրադարաններում թվային փոխակերպման ավելի լայն տարածման հեռանկարները: Ցույց է տրվում, որ հանրային և ակադեմիական գրադարաններում թվային փոխակերպումը հանգեցնում է բազմաթիվ նորամուծությունների, որոնք փոխակերպում են ավանդական գրադարանային ծառայությունները:

    Ֆելիքս Բախչինեանի «Հայրական» մեկնութիւնները (գրախօսութիւն «Հայրը» հատորի)

    The review is dedicated to Felix Bakhchinyan’s novel “Father”. There are references to the manifestation of intertextuality, dialogues with other artists, which is a stable preference for the writer and is also found in previews works. («Déjà Vu. Aleppo: Valley of Love and Death”, “One Night in Ataturk’s room” and others). An attempt is made to highlight the logic of the author’s judgements about the archetype of the father, which is often based on the contrast of the mother figure. The features of the stylization of the work are also taken into account.

    Preserving heritage: exploring Armenian language, history, and culture through rare books at Indiana university libraries

    Հոդվածում անդրադարձ է կատարվում Ինդիանայի համալսարանի գրադարանների հայկական հավաքածուներին` ընդգծելով այդ նյութերի կարևորությունը հայկական մշակութային և պատմական ժառանգության պահպանման տեսանկյունից: Չնայած Ինդիանայի համալսարանում հայագիտության պաշտոնական ծրագրի բացակայությանը` համալսարանի գրադարանում, մասնավորապես «Լիլի» գրադարանում և «Հերման Բ. Ուելս» գրադարանում, պահվում են հայկական արժեքավոր հազվագյուտ գրքեր և ձեռագրեր: Դրանց թվում են այնպիսի նշանակալից կրոնական գրքեր, ինչպիսիք են 1666 թվականի Ոսկանյան Աստվածաշունչը, պատմական ուղեցույցները, վաղ լեզվաբանական ուսումնասիրությունները, Հայոց ցեղասպանության և ԱՄՆ-ի հայկական սփյուռքի վերաբերյալ աշխատությունները: Այս նյութերի մասին իրազեկվածությունը բարձրացնելով՝ փորձ է կատարվում նպաստել դրանց պահպանմանն ու գիտական կիրառմանը հայագիտության ոլորտի մասնագետների կողմից և ոչ միայն։ Սույն հոդվածը կոչ է անում նպաստել գրադարանների և գիտական հաստատությունների միջև ավելի լայն համագործակցությանը՝ ինչպես ԱՄՆ-ում, այնպես էլ արտասահմանում, հայկական մշակութային ռեսուրսների պահպանությունն ու ակադեմիական կիրառումը բարելավելու նպատակով:
